The AIMHI Bike Warehouse is back, starting this weekend. For those who haven’t heard of it, it’s a partnership between AIMHI, the Prince George RCMP and the City of Prince George. The idea is to get bikes back on the road at a reasonable price, while supporting AIMHI programming.
After 90 days, the City of Prince George takes possession of unclaimed stolen bikes recovered by the RCMP. The City then donates the bikes to AIMHI. The program has been running every summer for the past 15 years.
Tomorrow from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., people can visit AIMHI and find a used bike between $5 and $150. About 150 bikes are for sale. In October, all the bikes that don’t sell will be shipped to Uganda.
The sale will continue every Saturday until the end of September, excluding long weekends.
