Election day is almost here. Tomorrow British Columbians from all over the Province will have the opportunity to vote. Elections BC released their numbers for advanced polling yesterday, stating that over 600,000 people got out to cast a ballot. That’s a 62% increase from the 2013 provincial election. Here in Prince George over five and a half thousand people voted in the riding of Prince George – Valemount, a 58% gain from 2013 and over 5,000 in Prince George – Mackenzie. This year, elections BC held 6 days of advanced polls compared to 4 in previous elections. In the two Prince George ridings, there are over 65,000 eligible voters, a tenth of which have already cast a ballot. There will be 20 general voting places in each Prince George-Mackenzie and in Prince George – Valemount riding, open from 8.am to 8 p.m.
