Unprovoked Attack on Female Jogger

A woman who was jogging along Foothills Boulevard near Ochakwin Crescent in Prince George was attacked from behind Sunday at approximately 11:30pm.  Police received the report of the attack Monday afternoon. Prince George RCMP describe the attack as serious.

Mounties say the male attacker knocked the victim to the ground, struck her a number of times and attempted to sexually assault her.  A passing vehicle slowed down and honked, causing the attacker to flee on foot. However the driver of the vehicle did not stop.  The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, but was able to get to safety.  The attacker may have marks or injuries.

The male suspect has a medium build, is taller than 170 cm (5’7″) and was wearing a black hoodie.

Investigators would like to speak to the driver of the vehicle and anyone else who may have witnessed the attack.
