The Prince George Youth Volleyball Club’s under-16 boys Kodiak red team is off to nationals in Calgary tomorrow. The team is going in with a lot of confidence, having won their share of tournaments this year and knocking off a lot of strong teams. The team’s resume this year includes beating last year’s national champs in the “best of the west” tournament. But there is one team they just can’t seem to beat. At provincials this year, they lost in the semi-finals to Seaside, which is the same team that they lost to in last year’s provincial gold medal game. And as fate would have it, their first game at this year’s nationals will be against Seaside. But they think they’ve got their number this time around.
