A kind, caring, loving father of two young children. That is how many described 30 year old Shane Whitford at a vigil Monday night.
Whitford was stabbed to death early Saturday morning when a disagreement broke out.
The father of two was killed on the corner of Oak Street and Porter Avenue.
Police did arrest a suspect near the scene, but there’s no word on any charges.
Whitford’s mother, Tanis says the vigil was a chance to find some closure.
“We will move forward, we have to heal and deal with it and live our lives now.” said Whitford.
Joshua Mueller, a friend of Shane’s for 18 years says he will be dearly missed.
“He had a really big impact on my life, my family’s life.” said Mueller.
“He stayed with me and my mom when I was younger. He was always welcome in our place because he’s well respected.”
