Wind Storm Knocks Out Power

According to BC Hydro, several locations in Prince George are left without power.

A wind storm has left neighbourhoods East of Driftwood Road, North Pumphouse Road and South of Turner Road without power since 3:40 p.m. Just over 1,500 people are affected in this area.

Crews are dealing with a wire that’s down West of the Hart Highway. East Catherine Drive and North of Cranbrook Hill is experiencing outages as a result. Approximately 1,292 customers are affected there.

587 residents East of Aberdeen Road and North of Midland Road are experiencing outages.

Power went out around 3:35 p.m. for about 174 people West of Foothills Boulevard and South of Otway Road.

857 residents East of Beaver Forest Road are also being affected.

There are 39 outage locations across the Central Interior, including areas in Quesnel, Valemount and Vanderhoof.  It’s affecting about 6753 customers.
