Kids from schools across the North are coming to Prince George for the annual Terry Wilson Cup, Friday. The tournament is held in honour of the former teacher and principal, who was somewhat of a pioneer for youth soccer in PG. It started in 2011 and has been growing every year, and this year’s version will feature 20 teams. Kids from schools as far away as Prince Rupert are making the journey, and the team from Rupert is keen on defending their title from last year. Organizers say the tournament’s success over the years is a testament to how much Terry Wilson meant to soccer in the community.
