The Prince George Cougars are changing the way they sell their season tickets.
Instead of age-based pricing they have switched to a zone-based pricing.
Seeing the most impact, are those seats between the blue-lines, or section red, where increases are expected to be significant for some season ticket holders.
Behind both goals and along the glass, ticket prices have gone down.
Some season ticket holders feel the team is trying to push them out of their seats, with an increase in pricing.
Kal Bassi has been a season ticket holder since 1995 and he says he is cancelling his season tickets.
“I’m sorry that the Cougars are losing money, you finally put a nice product (out on the ice) and now we’re going to be in the rebuilding stage again.” said Bassi.
“We’ll have a young team this year and now you want to hike everybody’s rates? C’mon lets get serious.”
