Triathlons can be tricky, tedious and time consuming.
For kids aged 3-19, they participated in the 23rd annual Kids of Steel Triathlon in Prince George on Sunday.
15 year old Cole Turner was took on the 20.7 kilometre trek, in the 16-19 year old division, finishing in first place.
He completed the 750 metre swim, 15 kilometre bike ride and 4.5 kilometre in just 55 minutes and 53 seconds.
Turner says although he was the third or fourth out of the pool, he was the first off the bike.
“Biking is kind of my strong-suit.” said Turner.
“I feel most comfortable on the bike.”
Over 140 athletes took part in the event this year, the highest total ever.
The triathlon is organized by Triathlon BC and this year there was an adult division for the first time.
