It’s national tourism week. Tourism Prince George is hosting its first ‘Hello PG Community Ambassador Fair’ tomorrow.
People are invited to check out the free, informal expo at the Coast Inn of the North between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The purpose is for residents to see some of the different things to do here in Prince George this summer. 25 different organizations will have booths set up.
“We are taking the opportunity to do it during Canada’s Tourism Week,” says Erica Hummel, the C.E.O. of Tourism Prince George. “So it’s in no better time to really tell the community the tourism story and talk about the value of tourism. It’s spring and our tourism season is about to get really busy, so it gives us an opportunity to get together, get to know the product, anything new in town before the visitors start coming.”
