A 100 hectare wildfire is burning 40 kilometres northwest of Quesnel, pouring smoke into the Prince George area.
BC Wildfire officials say 37 firefighters are employing airtankers, a helicopter and heavy equipment to battle the fire. Crews arrived at the blaze Sunday and are working to build containment line. The fire is considered to have 25% containment at this point.
Officials say smoke hanging over Prince George late Monday afternoon is being produced by the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No homes are threatened.
