Tomorrow is national Clean Air Day. The campaign highlights actions people can take to improve the air quality in their community.
This year, the Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable (PG AIR) is partnering with the City of Prince George.
Residents are invited to City Hall between 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. . Coffee and snacks will be provided, as PG AIR raises awareness on ways people can lower emissions.
A draw will also be held for those who took the ‘Clean Air Pledge’ last week.
“There’s a component of our air quality that is directly related to residential or individual actions, such as transportation emissions and heating emissions,” says Kim Menounos, the Coordinator of PG AIR. “So anything that people can do; walk more often, ride your bike more often, don’t idle your vehicle, those are all excellent ways that individuals can make a difference.”
