MOU Between CNC and IBCA A Reality

A new Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the College of New Caledonia and the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association.
“This is a great opportunity to help our employers connect with the next generation of trades workers, all with the goal of educating, empowering and employing people,” says Dr. Lindsay Langill, Vice-President of ICBA.
He says the ICBA will be able to provide labour force intelligence for the College. That means the organization can inform the College about projects that are pending and which trades may be in high demand. It also means the College can better plan its programming, saving plenty of money for the college.
But the Dean of Trades for CNC says it’s also a golden opportunity for CNC students.
“We pride our on working closely with local stakeholders, and this partnership will bring tremendous benefits to our students and it is an important step toward meeting the needs of industry,” says Frank Rossi.
ICBA says, with CNC’s vast presence in trades training throughout the North, CNC was an ideal choice for this partnership.
