Local Veteran On A Mission To Raise Awareness On PTSD

A Prince George man is gearing up to walk from city hall to the provincial legislature in Victoria at the end of the month.

Robert Gagnon, who is a correctional officer, will leave on June 28th, to walk his way to the legislature and speak with the premier about Post Traumatic Distress Disorder.

He hopes to achieve 34 kilometres per day over 26 days, and is training by walking over 2,000 kilometres over the last 6 months within the city.

Gagnon served in the armed forces in the 1990’s, but says his PTSD is not work related.
