The Liberal Minority government has fallen in Victoria.
M.L.A.’s from the New Democrats and the Green parties voted down the Liberal’s throne speech in a non-confidence vote, with a vote of 44 to 42.
The government has been defeated.
Premier Christy Clark is expected meet this evening with Lieutenant-Governor Judith Guichon.
Once that meeting is complete, it will be up to the Lieutenant-Governor to do one of two things.
She can either offer the NDP and the Green Party a chance to form government, or she can call for a new election.
It’s not clear when Guichon will make her decision.
