For 2 and a half year old Kuma, vets and the SPCA say he’s lucky to be alive.
The German Shepherd went missing Sunday, June 25th near Red Rock and Buckhorn, along Highway 97, and was turned in to the SPCA on Wednesday afternoon.
It was then, his owner Maureen Yeo noticed three nails stuck inside his skull.
“I threw up.” said Yeo.
“It made me sick. I can’t believe someone would do that to a dog, or any animal. I don’t care what the dog did, it’s just not right.”
The nails were three inches in length, and a nail gun was used to put them through Kuma’s skull.
The North Cariboo BC SPCA is investigation is ongoing and Maureen Yeo, she’s just hoping that justice will be served.
We’ll have the full story of this during Friday’s newscast.
