BC NDP Leader John Horgan will soon become the newest Premier of the province.
The Liberal Minority government fell earlier on Thursday in Victoria after a non-confidence vote of 44-42 against the Liberal throne speech.
Christy Clark met with Lieutenant-Governor Judith Guichon soon there after, but didn’t offer up much to say other than she will comment when the Guichon makes a decision.
Meanwhile, Horgan was then called to Government House by Guichon where he was offered to form government and restore confidence in the house.
Horgan answered with a definitive yes.
Horgan adds that he will begin the proceedings of forming a government tomorrow.
There’s no word on when the legislature will be recalled.
The Premier-designate suggests he’ll have access to government files beginning Friday.
