Prince George is still welcoming residents from the Cariboo who have been evacuated due to wildfires.
Close to 80 evacuees stayed the night on cots at the College of New Caledonia.
It’s expected that more evacuees will be arriving Sunday and the city says they are prepared.
Additional beds and blankets are scheduled to arrive from Edmonton and some will be set up at UNBC.
The reception centre for all evacuees, however, will continue to be at CNC.
The city says food services are in place at the College and that there have been many generous offers from volunteers and others but donations are currently not needed at the emergency reception centre.
Staff say residents can contribute by being especially welcoming to visitors and offer support.
