The wildfires across BC’s interior are creating challenging air quality conditions for residents. The BC Ministry of Environment’s Smoky Skies Advisory has been issued for more than a half dozens regions from the Prince George and Vanderhoof in the north, to the Shuswap in the south.
It’s suggesting residents avoid strenuous outdoor activities. If you are experiencing difficulty in breathing, chest pain or discomfort you’re urged to contact a healthcare professional immediately.
Exposure to poor air is especially difficult on infants, the elderly and those who have underlying medical conditions diabetes, and lung or heart disease.
