While the war against the wildfires continues across B.C., a battle has been won with one wildfire in the Prince George area.
The 10 hectare blaze west of Prince George on McBride Timber Road is being mopped up and the associated evacuation alert for 50 properties has been lifted.
The fire broke out over the weekend and forced the evacuation of one property on Lamar Road. It was fought by a team from the Wildfire Service, the Pineview Volunteer Fire Department and the Beaverly Volunteer Fire Department.
There have been no reports of injuries.
