The City of Prince George says there are 2,700 evacuees that have checked in at the reception centre at the College of New Caledonia as of Monday night.
600 of those evacuees are children and the nearly 200 beds at the College of New Caledonia were full.
Evacuees are utilizing the University of Northern British Columbia as another facility to stay.
The city opened up a third location, at Prince George Senior Secondary school on Monday, that can house 180 evacuees.
This was done to accommodate the 600 or so evacuees who will be arriving in Prince George, or have already done so from 100 Mile House, after they were put on evacuation order, Sunday.
About half of the registered evacuees are staying with friends, family, hotels or camping in RVs/trailers and tents.
