A trailer full of donations for wildfire evacuees was dropped off in Prince George Saturday night.
Water, diapers, bikes, board games, medicine and other items were donated by many in Fort McMurray before Mike and Gerry Fortier drove 15 hours to Prince George to donate them.
They plan on heading home on Monday.
The Fortier’s, who are brothers say it was an opportunity to give back, something that BC and the rest of Canada did only a year ago, where the entire city of Fort McMurray was evacuated due to wildfires, displacing 90,000 residents.
Mike Fortier says he hasn’t been able to move back into his home as a gas leak, ignited the side of his house on fire.
The supplies are for evacuees, and first responders.
A trailer was bound for McCleese Lake on Saturday, but the Fortier’s aren’t sure it made it due to the road closures.
