The leader of the Conservative Party of Canada is in Prince George, acknowledging the work of first-responders.
Andrew Scheer says in a facebook post that he wishes his visit was occurring under better circumstances. “Thank you to all the firefighters and first-responders working across British Columbia to fight the flames and keep their communities safe,” said Scheer.
The party leader even brought coffee and doughnuts to the emergency officials he visited with.
Scheer is being hosted by the Prince George’s two conservative M.P.’s Bob Zimmer and Todd Doherty.
