At one point, more than 10,000 evacuees had registered in Prince George after being forced from their homes by wildfires in the Cariboo. That figure has now been reduced to about 60 evacuees as of today.
The City says they’re being housed at the Northern Sport Centre or in nearby tents.
Today the City announced it will reduce it’s operating hours at the Emergency Reception Centre at CNC. As of Saturday, the Centre will only be open from 8am to noon.
