It was the home and season opener for the UNBC Women’s Soccer team who were looking for their first win in two seasons.
With an 0-12-1 record last year the T-Wolves had no where to go but up.
A strong start in the first half saw UNBC lead by one goal to nil at the half time break before 5th year forward Tianna Rossi would pop 2 home in the second half, and UNBC would take it 3-0.
The women with their victory totaled the same number of goals they had in 13 games last season.
Meantime, the men are down in Victoria for a pair of games this weekend, and it was a big start to the season going 1-0-3 to start.
But on Friday, UNBC got back in the win column to secure their second win of the season against the Victoria Vikes 2-0.
The two teams will go to battle again Saturday night at 7:15 p.m.
The Women meet UBCO Sunday at 12:00p.m from the NCSSL fields.
