After a disastrous wildfire season in BC, there is light at the end of the tunnel as the BC Wildfire Service has lifted all bans and regulations within the Prince George fire centre.
This includes all open-burning which had been banned since early July.
The last remaining campfire ban in the region was lifted earlier this month.
With the open fire ban being lifted, bans on some fire equipment have also been lifted including: burn barrels or burn cages, sky lanterns, binary exploding targets, air curtain burners and fireworks.
The BC Wildfire Service is still encouraging the public to be cautious with any outdoor burning or campfire use, even with the recent rain and cooler temperatures we have seen.
