The start to the BCHL season for the Prince George has been a positive one to say the least as they sit in first place in the Mainland division.
Layton Ahac was the difference maker Saturday as his shot fluttered through and beat Daniel Davidson from just inside the blue-line, as the Spruce Kings came up with the 4-3 victory.
Spruce Kings defenseman Dylan Anhorn says the game was a huge bounce back effort after Friday’s loss.
“This is a team we have struggled against recently but it was a great team effort out there with contributions from everyone and it just makes it feel so much better at the end.” said Anhorn.
Prince George sit with a 6-3-1-1 record, two points ahead of Langley for top spot.
The 3 game home stand wraps up against Merritt Wednesday night.
