The Community Working Group overlooking rehabilitation efforts says the province can not put recovery efforts on hold any longer. It wants the province to build a hatchery in Vanderhoof. The group has secured $40,000 in education and communication funding this year from the District of Vanderhoof, Environment Canada and Integris Credit Union. It's thought there are fewer than 450 mature sturgeon remaining.
