Thousands of students in district 57 are heading back to school today. The actual school day will be a shorter one than usual, with elementary students being dismissed between 10 and 10:30.
Superintendant Brian Pepper says secondary students will attend class for a little bit longer.Pepper says its an exciting and busy time of the year for school administrators.
