A surprise to the Council agenda had some scrambling. The addition of the Fourth and Final reading of a re-zoning application for the former Haldi Road School was added to the agenda. As promised, Mayor Shari Green recused herself from the discussion. It was passed with little debate, except over the timing of the addition. Councillor Brian Skakun says he's worried the manner in which the item was added could be perceived as lacking transparency. However, it was made clear during the meeting that the discussion and debate on the issue was not on the table, but resident Tracy Kettles says the lack of transparency is not surprising.
