One day after tragedy shattered the village of Mackenzie, the investigation continues, as the community tries to pull together the pieces. The Coroner is currently leading the investigation, assisted by police and fire officials. Twin toddlers lost their lives in the fire yesterday morning, despite the valiant efforts of family, neighbours and rescue crews. Mayor Stephanie Killam says the feeling in the community is still one of great sadness, and of support. Mackenzie Fire Chief Jamie Guise says crews continue to search the wreckage of the home today, hoping to find clues as to what caused the fire. A trust fund is being set up at the Mackenzie Scotiabank.
