City Transit ridership is up. Transit Analyst Daniel Pearce says ridership has increased over 12.6 percent from November 2007 to November 2008. He says the 3600 annual service hours and three new buses contributed to the rise. A survey was also conducted in September, which found 72% of riders are either satisfied or very satisfied with the bus service. University students have also added to the ridership, after 450 graduate students voted in favour of the U-Pass, bringing the total for the university to 31-hundred.
