Telus says the Telecommunications Workers Union is wrong to claim the company is sacrificing Canadian jobs by outsourcing to the Philippines. Spokesman Shawn Hall says Telus has offered 300 workers the chance to move to other areas of the company or take early retirement and that the phone company continues to build its Canadian workforce, including here in Prince George.
