The global economic crisis appears to have hit the most vulnerable members of the family. The Prince George SPCA has seen a surge in animals being surrendered to the shelter in recent months. While this is a common trend during the spring and fall months, there seems to be more activity than usual this year. It's believed as jobs are lost, people are forced to downsize and these animals are one of the first things to go.
