The City has received it's portion of the provincial government's Traffic Fine Revenue Sharing funds. Though it is considered an "unconditional grant," the money is really targeting public safety. The city will spend the money on policing costs. A total of 73 BC communities all shared in 63 million dollars in the first pay out of the program.
