A potential embarrassment for Education Minister Shirley Bond. On the day
the writ falls, School District 57 officials will meet with parents of
Giscome Elementary School to discuss the facilities future - including the
possibility of its closure. The School District says the facility is in need
of major renovations. A special school board meeting is set for April 14th.
School Trustees say the issue is not connected to the election.
