The Nechako Watershed Council has discovered that a cold water release facility on the Kenney Dam is not what's needed to rehabilitate the Murray-Cheslatta system. Instead Chair Henry Klassen says the Council has learned more water is what's needed. Klassen says the benefits of a water release from the surface of the Nechako Reservoir include quicker responses to flow regime issues. The council is working to protect fish and other users of the Nechako.
