A building that's been an eyesore in the downtown core since it was destroyed by a fire over two years ago is one step closer to being cleaned up. The owner of 225 Quebec street was denied an extension to deal with the rundown property at last night's council meeting. Last month, council imposed clean up orders be taken within sixty days. Owner Sean Millnes requested ninety days to deal with the issue, but council voted in favour of maintaining the original motion. Millnes cited problems with the insurance policy for the delay in action. Millnes refused to comment on the issue.
