StatsCan is reporting a decline in tourism for the first quarter of the year, which the Northern BC Tourism Association says is not surprising. Anthony Everett says the stats show a greater decline in international tourism than in domestic, which is actually good news. Everett says many tourism operators he's spoken with are using the slowdown to re-group, and invest in their operations.
