It's been a slow start, but bear season is getting busy. The Conservation Office is asking residents to make their properties "bear proof." C.O. Todd Hunter says a common mistake made by residents is putting their garbage out the night before. Hunter says bear encounters are more common in College Heights, the Hart and greenbelts in the bowl.
