The McLeod Lake Indian Band is seeing red over the Nak'azdli's continued claims of aboriginal title in the area of Mount Milligan. McLeod Lake Chief Derek Orr says all historical evidence shows the Mount Milligan area is within McLeod Lake Indian Band's Territory, not the Nak'azdli's. Orr says the band's support of the mine hinges on Terrane Metals and the government recognizing their right to an equitable share and the local communities benefit.
