You wouldn't think forest fires would be an issue at this time of year, but apparently they are. A burning ban has been put in place in the Cariboo Region, due to the number of wildfires that have started up since September. 40 new fires have been reported with 3 in October. The B-C Forest Service's Cariboo fire centre has placed the ban on campfires and other open burning.
