The way municipalities tax major industrial operations will be reviewed. Community and Rural Development Minister Bill Bennett says an adjustment may be needed to ensure the investment community isn't scared away by taxes. However Bennett says those operations must provide fair compensation to local government. An eight member steering committee has been appointed to provide recommendations this fall. Prince George Mayor Dan Rogers is part of the steering committee.
