Today marks Canada's first Bottled Water Free Day.
Students at UNBC are taking part. They're hosting various discussions with local officials on the health, social and environmental impacts of bottled water. UNBC's Green Coordinator, Danielle Smyth says tap water is just as safe as bottled water, adding we pay for it in our taxes so why not use it. Smyth says they're also looking for feedback from students on the idea of going bottled water-free at UNBC.
