Prince George RCMP are investigating a double murder. The body of 48-year-old Owen Thompson was found outside a farmhouse off the Blackwater Road Wednesday morning. A 48-year-old woman was also found there suffering severe wounds. She is expected to survive. A second male body was found yesterday in some bush outside the farmhouse. His name and home town have not been released. Both dead men are in Kamloops for autopsy to determine cause of death. Constable Gary Godwin says early Thursday morning Alberta RCMP made an arrest in the Paradise Valley following a lengthy standoff. 36-year-old Michael James Bartley is charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder and could face more charges. Bartley is still being held in Lloydminster and should be transported to Prince George next week. So far police have no motive for the double muder, the first in this area in recent memory.
