Prince George RCMP had a strange incident to attend to Saturday night.
A woman in the 4000 block of Weisbrod Road on the Hart called around 3pm to say she'd found some dynamite in her shed. Constable Leslie Smith says police found sticks of dynamite in a backpack, secured the scene and called the RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit in from Vancouver. The arrived that eveing and around 8pm safely detonated the explosives at a gravel pit in Pineview. That explains the big boom heard in that area. Police are still trying to track the origin of the dynamite.
