The CEO of Initiatives Prince George has written a letter to the federal Minister of Labour, Rona Ambrose, expressing concern over a possible strike at the Port of Prince Rupert. Tim McEwan says a strike would be disastrous to efforts to create a transportation hub in this region. He believes a strike will damage the region's reputation for timely delivery of goods. McEwan says when a strike has occurred in the past, the federal government has legislated the workers back.
